Project Synopsis:

  • Removal of the existing wearing surface and installation of a Polyester Polymer Concrete (PPC) overlay on three structures—the South Crossing (1,200 m), North Crossing (253 m), and Marine Drive Overpass (64 m)—including the supply and installation of 2,980 m of steel parapet railing.
  • In addition to deck resurfacing and railing installation, TransLink awarded Kingston Construction the optional bearing replacement work, which included temporary scaffold access, design and engineering of concrete jacking corbels, live-load jacking of the bridge, and bearing replacement.
