Project Synopsis:

• Kingston completed the Polyester Polymer Concrete (PPC) overlay as a subcontractor to Ruskin Construction, the prime contractor.
• New precast deck panels were placed on the existing transverse floor beams. To achieve a smooth riding surface, extensive effort was devoted to setting up and calibrating the slipform paving machine. The paver was also equipped with 30-foot averaging skis to bridge surface irregularities, which resulted in the placement of additional material.
